Club Whiskies win Big at 2025’s The Scotch Whisky Masters
The results are in for The Scotch Whisky Masters 2025 and several Club whiskies took out major gongs. Read on to see it your favourites made the honour roll.
The Scotch Whisky Masters, a part of the larger Global Spirits Masters Competition, recognises excellence in Scotch whisky making.
Organised by The Spirits Business, the blind-tasting competition is judged by the industry’s best independent distributors, educators and on-trade professionals.
After each entry is judged on appearance, aroma, palate and overall balance, all medallists are re-tasted by each judge to crown the ‘best in class’ entry, which is then awarded the title of ‘Taste Master.’
Here’s the highlights you need to know.
Meikle Tòir Peated Speyside The Sherry One scored a coveted ‘Master.’ The GlenAllachie’s peated project, Meikle Tòir (pronounced MEE-kuhl tor) made it to Australia, and The Sherry One is launched officially with the Club in April 2024.
Aberlour 16 Year Old and Aberlour 18 Year Old also took out a Master in their category. Member got exclusive access to these bottles back in 2022
Kilchoman Batch Strength also took out a Master. Our Members got dibs on these bottles back in October 2024
And this just in: our Redbreast PX Edition also picked up a Single Pot Still – Super-Premium in the The Irish Whiskey Masters.
Special mention goes to relative Lowlands newcomer, InchDairnie. This Fife distillery absolutely cleaned up and took out three Masters with their KinGlassie Fife Raw Aged 8 Years, KinGlassie Fife Double Matured Aged 8 Years and the RyeLaw Scottish Rye Whisky Vintage 2018. Keep an eye on these guys because you’ll be seeing a lot more of them in the future.
Our mates at Glen Scotia also got a callout from the judges who said “this small region has the might to contend with its bigger counterparts,” after collecting four gold medals.
