Clubhouse focus: Scapa distillery
Scapa is an Orkney distillery that is absolutely worth the pilgrimage. Just outside of Kirkwall on the Orkney Mainland overlooking Scapa Flow, Scapa is known for producing tropical, fruity island whisky. The distillery is steeped in and surrounded by history. Everything from Neolithic villages to scuttled war ships, Viking sagas and everything in between.
What can Members expect?
A short flight or a very long ferry will get you to Orkney. Kirkwall, the capital is as picturesque a Scottish seaside town as you will get. Home to 3 distilleries, this is a place for whisky. A drive up Old Scapa Road will lead you to this clifftop beauty of a distillery. A new distillery tasting room overlooks the beach and is the perfect place to start or finish any visit to the distillery.
Scapa operates a free shuttle service for Members booked on a tour. Must be booked 24 hours in advance.

Tours
The Journey
If you’re new to Scapa, start here. Members will be led through the distillery, learning about the unusual still shape and how they make such a fruity style whisky. Check out the on-site warehouses and end in one of the most stunning tasting rooms on the planet for a guided tasting.
The Voyage
This is the next level Scapa tour. Delve deeper into production and chat fermentation, distillation and maturation. This tour includes a tasting of New Make Spirit and 4 different casks expressions to show off the versatility of the spirit.
The Odyssey
For the deepest of dives, The Odyssey Tour starts with a dram straight from the cask. Something we think everyone should experience at least once in their lives. This is followed by an in-depth geek-spec tour and a tasting of rare single casks and vintage expressions including the Scapa 21 year old.
