Clubhouse focus: The Glenlivet distillery

The Glenlivet is the original home of Speyside whisky. Founded in 1823 by George Smith, it’s fruity, complex and smooth style has been sought after by single malt fans for over 200 years. The distillery is one of the largest in Scotland, and one of the most impressive. The marriage of old and new architecture is seamless and the views from the stillhouse over The Glenlivet Estate are simply breathtaking.

What can Members expect?

Driving through the fields of the Livet Valley, Members get a real sense of place. This is barley growing country and home to some of Scotland’s purest water. As you approach the distillery you get a sense of scale, the huge window into the stillhouse show visitors where every drop of The Glenlivet is made these days. But the old brick exterior (even on the new bits) demonstrate a respect for history and the brand’s traditional home. The visitor centre is a curated collection of historical artefacts, new fangled technology to excite the senses and places to relax with a dram after a tour of the site.

As Members of The Whisky Club you will receive 20% off the following tour tickets. Just use the code WHISKYCLUBHOUSE20 at checkout online. In addition, you can show your Membership card at the distillery for 10% off in the cellar door.
