World’s Best: Our Mates At Sullivans Cove Win Again

Members, in case you didn’t already know, we seek out the best whiskymakers in the world, this morning’s World Whiskies Awards have confirmed it.

The most prestigious whisky competition on the planet have named their Global Category winners and Members will not be surprised to see some familiar faces.

Our friends at Sullivans Cove, whose historic 25-year-old we launched in late 2025 and whom we’re actively working with on some exciting upcoming collaborations, have once again delivered on the world stage. Taking home World’s Best Single Cask Single Malt for last year’s French Oak White Wine Old & Rare TD0112 cask, we reckon this is about the one millionth time the Tasmanian icons have been recognised in the WWAs.

A close geographical neighbour to our Australian Club HQ in Hobart, in recent months we’ve been working on something very special… and this news makes us all the more excited to reveal it in the coming weeks.

From further afield, we know there is a huge Irish-loving portion of Members – you tell us regularly through end-of-year surveys, in person at events, and when we run into you at the pub!

We’re getting to the end of a huge month of Irish whiskies, from the likes of Dunville’s, Dingle and our close collaboration with the Midleton team, home of Redbreast, Jameson and the Spot range of whiskies.

Midleton’s Red Spot – their 15-year-old cask strength expression revived from its demise in the 1960s – has been named World’s Best Pot Still Whiskey.

Whilst Red Spot has been incredibly hard to find around the world, let alone in Australia, all we can say is watch this space…
