World Whiskies Awards 2025 — Winners Announced!
The global winners of 2025’s World Whiskies Awards have been revealed at a ceremony in London’s world-renowned The Waldorf Hotel on 26 March.
“It’s been another incredible year for the World Whiskies Awards,” Awards Director Anita Ujszaszi said. “We’ve tasted some truly exceptional products and it’s been wonderful to hear from passionate whisky producers and industry professionals from all over the world.”
A huge congratulations to our friends at GlenAllachie, who took out the prestigious World's Best Single Malt with the Speyside Single Malt 12 Years Old and also Redbreast who took out World's Best Pot Still with the Redbreast 27 Years Old. The other major win went to Old Fitzgerald, who took out World’s Best Bourbon.
Launched in 2007, the World Drinks Awards selects the very best in all internationally recognised styles of drinks though a blind tasting with an expert panel of judges in pursuit of determining the ‘World’s Best’ in each category.
You can see the full list of winners here.

We were thrilled to host GlenAllachie’s Assistant Blender Ronan Currie on a tour of former World Whiskies Awards World’s Best winners Lark and Sullivans Cove distilleries earlier in the month. See a few snaps below. And remember, this month, Whisky Club Members can get their hands the GlenAllachie 17 Year Old Mizunara & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish.
This is the second time GlenAllachie has won World's Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards, the distillery also took out the top gong in 2021.
Aged for seventeen years, this is only the second time GlenAllachie has ever released a Mizunara-matured whisky. The most luxurious (and expensive) oak in the world, their first Mizunara cask release sold out in Scotland immediately – and a handful of bottles are selling on the secondary market in Australia for silly amounts.
