Doubly so, with a cask strength of 60.3% ABV.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe smallest distillery in Speyside, Benromach is entirely analogue in its whiskymaking practices, relying entirely on the craftmanship and attention of well-trained distillers. Even the back-breaking work of bringing the spent mash down is done by hand, before fermentation in traditional wooden washbacks (instead of modern stainless steel) and manually monitored spirit cuts. This hands-on-everything approach is why Benromach can continue to deliver authentically traditional whisky in an otherwise modernised industry.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis vintage release serves up waxy texture with light smoke, reminiscent of those 1960s sherried classics: all brawny heft and delicious, textured complexity.
