During this time, the series' latest single malt has been soaking up deliciously fruity Moscatel flavours, before being bottled without chill filtration to show off its natural oiliness and complexity. Intense rolling notes of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ewarm honey\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ejuicy mandarin\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ebold jammed fruits\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, and a \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003egentle allspice finis\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eh\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, not to mention a full-bodied structure. It scored 98\/100 points and Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition ‘24, one of the most prestigious and globally respected spirits shows.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTriple distilled back in 2010 in true Irish fashion, two types of Moscatel from the Iberian Peninsula were used for the finish — Spanish \u003cem\u003eValencia\u003c\/em\u003e and Portuguese \u003cem\u003eSetúbal\u003c\/em\u003e. This is the first ever Double Cask AND the first fully Sherry-matured Bushmills whiskey in the globally sought-after Causeway Collection.
