the-lakes-galaxia
The Lakes Whiskymaker's Editions Galáxia

Crafted by ex-Macallan whiskymaker, Dhavall Gandhi, this is the rarest Lakes release — and the final single malt Lakes’ former Whisky Director Dhavall created during his time at the distillery. And what a finale: Dhavall used a compilation of casks from his previous releases including American and European Oak along with seven different Sherries, Bourbon, red wine, white wine and Calvados to create a rich, indulgent, gold-medal-winning whisky.

We don’t need to tell you how ridiculously sought-after these Lakes Whiskymaker's Editions are. In February, we released our exclusive Lakes Voyage, which sold out almost immediately and within weeks bottles were going under the hammer overseas for big money — one sold for $2,115, more than 16 times the price Members paid. Some Editions, like Milky Way, sold at auction for a whopping $3,600.

A departure from the distillery’s Sherry-led single malt whiskies, the Whiskymaker’s Editions are special-edition single malt whiskies that showcase Lakes’ whiskymakers creativity in cask selection, maturation, and blending. Galáxia is the culmination of the very best characteristics of the entire, globally-renowned series.

Picking up a gold medal at 2024’s International Spirits Challenge and weighing in at a sumptuous batch strength of 54.0% ABV, Galáxia is an exquisite tapestry of dark fruit cake, cocoa nib, manuka honey and woody spice.

Bottles were extremely limited and only available to Club Members. Join free now to get your hands on our upcoming releases.
