The addition of Malaga lends distinctive notes of sweet honey and fresh peaches, creating a lightly spiced, sweet twist on the Spot series.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe name is an homage to the distillery’s past – the various colours refer to the historic practice of marking the whiskey barrels with their prospective colours according to its ageing potential. For easy, visible categorisation, 8-year-old whiskey was received a dab of blue, 10-year-old a green daub, and the 12-year-old received a spot of yellow.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eYellow Spot was finally re-released in limited amounts in May 2010 after a long hiatus that began in the 1950s.
