Belgrove 10 Year Old Ex-Heartwood Cask Burgundy Finish
This is Aussie whiskymaking history – the oldest Australian rye whisky ever released.
Introducing Belgrove’s oldest whisky release to date. At 10 years old, this single cask smashes the record for the oldest Australian rye whisky ever released.
Initially matured in an ex-Heartwood cask (from the Port-heavy ‘The Lost Convict’ release) for six and half years, this 100% rye expression then received a full four-year second maturation in a 2nd-fill French oak Burgundy barrique. It’s a phenomenal feat from Tassie’s beloved, unorthodox paddock-to-bottle distillery.
At a time when US-made single barrel rye releases of the same are landing in Aus for $400+, we’re proud to be offering this as a Club exclusive bottling for just $195.
Tastes like: An explosion of red berries, caramel and orange blossom intermingle with buttery biscuits, a long sweet spice and a hint of Stilton.
NON-CHILL FILTERED | NO ADDED COLOUR | 64.6% ABV
