What makes this whisky so special
Sherry casks are integral to whisky maturation, responsible for the delicious notes of toasted nuts, spiced honey and lingering fruits that you may recognise from masters of the Sherry cask including The GlenDronach, Glenfarclas, Aberlour and Macallan.
This month’s Glenmorangie Whisky of the Month uses exceptionally rare Amontillado casks, which sets it apart from other Sherry cask whiskies using the more familiar Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks.
To help guide you through the differences you’ll experience from the distinct styles of Sherry cask maturation, we’ve put together a Sherry Cask Bundle that’s available in very limited numbers, consisting of Glenfarclas Oloroso Sherry Casks 2012 Vintage (Oloroso casks) and The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 11 (predominantly Pedro Ximénez).
