Join WaitlistEvery month, our warehouse team keeps aside a few bottles that don’t quite make the cut: some may have minor label scuffs or are missing their canisters, others are in pristine condition but were missed or returned, but all are perfectly sealed, perfectly stored, absolute A-grade whisky.
As such, returns are not available for damaged or missing labels and boxes.
September at the Club is all about Golden Promise barley, and Glengoyne are one of the very few distilleries to still use – and master – it.
Their whiskymakers swear by the weight and body it adds to their new make spirit, despite the extra costs and lower yield. We’ve sourced a tiny parcel of Glengoyne’s 25 Year Old for Members to bundle with September’s Whisky of the Month: Benromach’s 100% Golden Promise Barley Edition, showing two distilleries at the top of their game for quality of spirit and craft.
Part of their prestigious Sherry Oak series, this has matured for a quarter of a century in the rich, sticky Sherry barrels that Glengoyne made their name on. Expect notes of deep red fruit, leather and brown sugar with a gloriously long finish of warm spice.

Nestled at the foot of the Campsie Fells, just north of Glasgow, Glengoyne has been making whisky since 1833. Originally known as Burnfoot Distillery, it operated during an era when illicit distilling was still widespread across Scotland before eventually becoming a fully licensed operation. Despite its Highland location, it actually sits right on the edge of the Lowlands.
Glengoyne has built its reputation around doing things slowly with stills that're among the slowest in Scotland, creating the rich, fruity spirit that's since become Glengoyne’s signature.
There’s no peat smoke here; Glengoyne dries its barley entirely with warm air, allowing the natural sweetness and fruitiness of the malt to shine through. The distillery is equally obsessive about its casks, with Sherry-seasoned oak playing a major role in many of its whiskies.
Most recently, Glengoyne wiped the floor with the competition at the latest International Spirits Challenge, beating out 98 other bottles to win the ‘Best Single Malt between 13 and 20 years old’ category trophy and picking up a Double Gold medal for its impressive 16 Year Old Japanese Mizunara Oak.

The oldest ever 100% Islay barley Bruichladdich batch is coming, and Members of the Club get it before anyone else in the world. “This is Bruichladdich at its absolute peak.” Unpeated, 14 years old, made entirely using the rare remnants of 2011’s vintage stocks.
