Overview
There are three ways to get your hands on an Oloroso cask-only vintage Glendronach:
- Fork out around $1,000 for a single cask expression
- Sweet talk Dr Rachel Barrie into tapping a cask at the distillery
- Get your hands on this rare, Club-only expression
This bottle presents a unique opportunity to see the effect of top class Oloroso casks in isolation in the always wonderfully rich and balanced Glendronach.
The only other 2013 Glendronach we could find in existence was a hand-filled distillery-exclusive bottling from May 2024. Short of owning a time machine and a very expensive round trip, this could be the only chance you get to try a 2013 Glendronach.
With each cask hand-selected by Dr Rachel herself, this exclusive 2013 vintage was matured from day one in Oloroso Sherry casks sourced from Andalusia. These bring a rich, dried fruit, nutty intensity, imparting that signature Glendronach depth to the spirit. Captured at 50.1% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added colour, it’s a deep, full-bodied and richly complex single malt.
