German whiskymakers combine two of Scotland’s favourite drinks
German whiskymakers Vame have created Bohemian Schnapsidee — a limited-edition Scotch whisky finished in Irn Bru.
Dubbed Scotland’s other favourite drink, Irn Bru is a carbonated soft drink with an indescribable taste, thanks to its secret recipe that contains 32 flavours.
VAME Malts was founded by a group of friends in Munich who “made their favourite hobby into something more.”
“The development of this whisky was a wild ride! VAME Malts said. “After a slow start, the cask influence kicked in big time after two months, delivering a seriously surprising result. This is for the whisky rebels, the ones who like their drams fun, a little weird, and definitely not boring – a refreshing take in our opinion.”
The result?
