The Whisky Club's Seamus Carroll Crowned Brand Ambassador of the year at 2024’s Icons of Whisky Awards
Huge whisky news here at the Club! Our Head of Whisky, Seamus Carroll, just officially became one of World Whiskies Awards' Icons of Whisky 2024 and has been named Brand Ambassador – Scotch Whisky in the 'Rest of World' category.
The World Whiskies Awards, presented by Whisky Magazine, celebrates the best of whiskies from around the world.
This is on the back of recognition of his tasting prowess in 2022 when he won the Australian Malt Whisky Tasting Championship. A worthy winner and just a lovely bloke, his impact on whisky in Australia shouldn't be underestimated. Previously at Brown-Forman, Seamus launched the 2007 GlenDronach, '93 GlenDronach and '74 Glenglassaugh, with each respectively setting the record for most expensive cask ever sold into Australia.
Meanwhile, Seamus launches and manages multiple whiskies to the biggest global whisky club (that's you, Members!) each year, including the end-to-end sourcing, tasting and importing. He also facilitates tonnes of events each year, both online and in person. Hats off to Seamus!
We've always known he's a deadset whisky legend and we're so happy he's been recognised by one of the world's leading whisky awards.
