Glenfiddich Gran Cortes XXII 22 Year Old

Until now, the Gran Cortes XXII 22 Year Old has only been available in Taiwan. Aussie Glenfiddich collectors have been paying far too much money to get their hands on a bottle of this, the rarest expression in the Glenfiddich Gran series.

But thanks to our partnership with Glenfiddich, we’ve secured the only official allocation in Australia so you can experience this luxurious whisky that showcases the rarest Sherry of them all: Palo Cortado.

Palo Cortado Sherry production is tiny, accounting for less than 0.167% of all Sherry produced, making these casks highly prized and near impossible to release regularly.

Standing alongside other bottles in this limited-edition series, the Grand Yozakura and the Grande Couronne, which retail for $3,000 and $800 respectively, this is a rare chance to own a bottle in this experimental range of single malts.

“We were thrilled – and very privileged – to gain access to the Palo Cortado casks that make Gran Cortes such a unique whisky,” said Glenfiddich Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, who worked with family-owned Sherry producers in southwest Spain to create this exquisite whisky.

The Gran Cortes has also cleaned up at international awards shows. It even took out the trophy for Best Distillers Single Malt 21 Years and over at 2023’s International Spirits Challenge, beating Balvenie 25YO (RRP $1,300), Talisker 30YO (RRP $1,700) and Bunnahabhain 40YO (RRP $3,300).
