Captured at 100 Proof – that’s a solid 50.0% ABV – without added colour, this is legit. The Lynchburg legends have taken a mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley and given it JD’s famous charcoal mellowing to add that patented smoothness, before ageing in new, handmade American white oak barrels. Then, in a further nod to their origins, they’ve added classic collector’s packaging with aspects of the Tennessee whiskey’s original 1895 design. It’s a no-brainer addition to your home bar.
And if you’re drinking, not collecting, be prepared for that rye spice boost with complex dried fruit, seared oak and caramels galore. This won Gold at the San Fran' World Spirits Competition and it oughta win a gold-tier spot on your whiskey shelf.

Jack Daniel Distillery's History
The youngest of ten children to Calaway and Lucinda Daniel, no-one knows for sure exactly when Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel was born. His tombstone says 1850, but his mother died before then, so the truth remains a mystery. His father soon remarried and had another three children; however, Jack and his stepmother did not get along well, and following his father’s death during the Civil War, Jack ran away from home.
