In celebration of the Speyside distillery’s 200th anniversary, The Macallan has launched two new whiskies as part of its Time : Space Collection — including the distillery’s oldest single malt.

Time: Space features a 1940 vintage, bottled at 84 years old and the first release from the new The Macallan Distillery, distilled in 2018 and bottled at 5 Years Old.

The releases are inspired by the distillery’s interpretation of time travel. "It was an absolute privilege to be able to reach back in time and select stock from the 1940's to honour and celebrate our 200-year anniversary,” says Kirsteen Campbell, Master Whisky Maker, The Macallan.

Each release is presented in a bespoke dual chamber vessel. The 84-year-old Macallan sits in the outer chamber and was aged in two casks, a first fill American Oak Butt and second fill European Oak Butt, and both seasoned with Sherry in Jerez de la Frontera.

The single malt in the central chamber is a 2018 vintage and is first ever whisky from The Macallan's new distillery.

The Macallan's TIME : SPACE is available to purchase through invitation from The Macallan.
