The commemorative Loch Lomond 1993 Mizunara Single Cask was finished in a precious 200-year-old Japanese Mizunara oak cask from Hokkaido and only 150 bottles have been released worldwide. Scotland’s first and oldest licensed whisky distillery, Littlemill fell silent in 1994 and the remains of the distillery were destroyed by fire in 2004. So, there will never be any more Littlemill whisky once the last casks are gone. Some of the distillery’s extremely rare liquid is under the guardianship of Loch Lomond. And in 2015, Loch Lomond released a limited number of its Little Mill Private Cellar Editions. Since then, a mere handful of bottles have been released annually, which have become ridiculously sought-after by collectors and whisky enthusiasts. The Little Mill 25 and 29 Year Olds are selected from some of the last remaining casks to be laid down at the Littlemill Distillery — ever.
